9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: The weather will be warm during the day over the coast of Guangdong during Christmas. A cold front is expected to reach Guangdong later on Thursday. Under the influence of the associated northeast monsoon, the weather will become cool appreciably over the region in the latter part of this week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Phanfone will move across the southern part of the South China Sea in the next couple of days. Under the combined effect of the monsoon and Phanfone, it will be windy over the northern part of the South China Sea over the weekend. Phanfone will weaken gradually during the weekend and early next week. The associated rainbands will affect the northern part of the South China Sea.
