9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: The northeast monsoon will persist over southern China during the weekend to the middle and latter parts of next week. A broad area of low pressure will develop slightly over the central part of the South China Sea in the next couple of days. It will move across the seas south of Hainan Island in the general direction of the coast of Vietnam. Meanwhile, under the combined effect of the northeast monsoon and the low pressure system, it will be windier with occasional showers and squally thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong. There will be swells. With the departure of the low pressure system, the weather will improve over Guangdong early next week.
