9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: The northeast monsoon will persist over southern China today to the middle and latter parts of next week. The area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea will develop into a tropical cyclone today, and then move across the seas south of Hainan Island in the general direction of the coast of Vietnam. Under the combined effect of the northeast monsoon and the low pressure system, it will be windier with occasional showers and squally thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong today and tomorrow. There will be swells. With the departure of the low pressure system, the weather will improve gradually over Guangdong early next week.
