9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Kompasu will move across the northern part of the South China Sea towards the vicinity of Hainan Island today. Under the combined effect of Kompasu and the northeast monsoon, it will be windy with heavy rain and squalls over the coast of Guangdong. Another surge of the northeast monsoon is expected to reach the coast of southern China during the weekend. It will be dry and slightly cooler over the region early next week.
