9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: An active trough of low pressure will linger over the coast of southern China in the next couple of days. There will be heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the region. A surge of the northeast monsoon will reach the coast of Guangdong on Sunday. It will be windy with temperatures falling progressively over the region. With the trough of low pressure departing the coastal areas, the weather will improve gradually early to midweek next week. Another broad trough of low pressure is expected to bring unsettled weather to the northern part of the South China Sea in the latter part of next week.
