9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: The area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea will develop gradually into a tropical cyclone later today to tomorrow, and then move towards the vicinity of western Guangdong and Hainan Island, but its intensity remains uncertain. Under the influence of its outer rainbands, it will be windy with heavy squally showers and thunderstorms over the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong midweek this week. A broad trough of low pressure is expected to affect the northern part of the South China Sea in the latter part of this week, it will still be showery over the region.
