9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Maysak will move across the vicinity of Beibu Wan today, then enter Guangxi to inland Vietnam and weaken. Under the combined effect of a ridge of high pressure over southeastern China and Maysak, it will be windy with showers and squally thunderstorms over the coast of southern China. Showers will be heavy at times and there will be swells. Under the influence of an active southerly airstream, the weather will remain unsettled over the coast of Guangdong early next week. A broad trough of low pressure and upper-air disturbances are expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to the coast of southern China midweek next week. Tropical Cyclone Bavi over the western North Pacific will move towards the seas east of Taiwan in the latter part of next week. Its subsiding air will bring very hot weather to southern China.
